Kiehl’s LifeRide for amfAR 2013
We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the fourth annual Kiehl’s LifeRide for amfAR, a multi-day, multi-stop charity motorcycle ride.
Celebrating with the public at seven Kiehl’s retail stores along the route, the company raised money for amfAR while heightening AIDS awareness. At each stop, the public was invited to meet the riders, learn more about amfAR, and contribute to the organization.
Inspired by Kiehl’s history with motorcycles, spirit of adventure, and philanthropic heritage, the ride was led by Chris Salgardo, President, Kiehl’s USA and Kevin Robert Frost, amfAR CEO, riding with many fellow motorcycle enthusiasts eager to join the fight against HIV/AIDS, including John Corbett, Kurt Yaeger and World Cup Rugby Champion Ben Cohen. In addition, amfAR’s Global Fundraising Chairman, Sharon Stone, was on hand to accept a check for $150,000 from Kiehl’s at the LifeRide Finale on August 8, at The Grove in Los Angeles.
In celebration of LifeRide, Kiehl’s introduced a Limited Edition Ultimate Strength Hand Salve, a new, jumbo size of the company’s classic formula and customer favorite. One hundred percent of Kiehl’s net profits from the sale of this product, up to $25,000, will benefit amfAR. The Limited Edition Ultimate Strength Hand Salve is available in a specially designed 7.8 ounce size, and is adorned with a red cap. It’s still available for $28.50 at Kiehl’s retail stores and specialty store partners nationwide, and at Kiehls.com.
