To benefit amfAR the Foundation for AIDS Research 

The Greater Philadelphia community was among the first to respond to the AIDS crisis in the U.S.  To date, Philadelphia and Bucks County area donors have contributed more than $3.4 million to amfAR and the fight against HIV/AIDS.  amfAR has invested much of this capital in research projects conducted in Philadelphia, providing more than $4 million in grants and fellowships to 80 Philadelphia-area researchers.

With 33 million people living with HIV/AIDS worldwide and more than 7,000 new infections every day, the needs are unrelenting.  amfAR remains committed to supporting the innovative research that is our best hope for bringing this devastating pandemic to an end.
