amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, raised more than $200,000 on June 11, 2009, as it honored three leaders in the LGBT community who have played pioneering roles in the fight against AIDS: Patricia Field, Lady Bunny, and Cleve Jones. Alan Cumming hosted the event, which featured a special performance by the legendary Debbie Harry. Honoring with Pride was chaired by amfAR trustees David Bohnett, Donald A. Capoccia, and R. Martin Chavez, Ph.D, along with celebrity chair Cheyenne Jackson.
