Motorcycling Philanthropists Join Forces with Kiehl’s to Raise $25,000 to Help Find a Cure for AIDS
With the goal of heightening awareness of HIV/AIDS and raising funds for amfAR along the West Coast, Kiehl’s is embarking on the first Kiehl’s Desert Run for amfAR, a five-day charity motorcycle ride taking place March 29 to April 2, 2012.
Inspired by Kiehl’s history with motorcycles, spirit of adventure, and philanthropic heritage, the ride will be led by Kiehl’s USA President Chris Salgardo, who will be joined by reputable motorcycle enthusiasts, including Paul Cox, Timothy White, Grant Reynolds, and more—all on choppers. An extension of Kiehl’s LifeRide for amfAR, an annual motorcycle ride that has raised more than $200,000, this ride will feature the unveiling of a new Kiehl’s Chopper designed by Brooklyn-based motorcycle builder Paul Cox.
Kiehl’s will make donations at each of the five stops along the way—totaling $25,000. Stops/check presentations at Kiehl’s freestanding stores include:
