amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research

Where We Work

Since its founding in 1985, amfAR has invested more than $388 million in its programs, spawning major advances in HIV research, prevention, and treatment. These accomplishments have helped extend, improve, and save the lives of countless people around the world living with HIV/AIDS or vulnerable to HIV infection. Through its research, public policy, GMT Initiative, and TREAT Asia programs, amfAR’s reach extends around the world.
