amfAR HOSTS DINNER IN PARIS DURING COUTURE WEEK

Paris, France, July 5th 2018 - amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research hosted an intimate dinner and auction for its supporters last night at The Peninsula Paris. Guests in attendance included Alexandra Agoston, Karim Benzema, Aloe Blacc, Ian Bohen, Maria Borges, Cindy Bruna, Anna Cleveland, Pauline Ducruet, Giedre Dukauskaite, Peter Dundas, Marianne Fonseca, Georgia Fowler, Lukas Haas, Jessica Jung, Valery Kaufman, Brandon Thomas Lee, Lara Lieto, Kirstin Liljegren, Angela Lindvall, Vanessa Moody, Petra Nemcova, Kathryn Newton, Julian Perretta, Carine Roitfeld, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, Lala Rudge, Caroline Scheufele, Maria Strongin, Prince Wenceslas of Liechtenstein, Ellen Von Unwerth, Megan Williams, amfAR Chief Executive Officer Kevin Robert Frost, and amfAR Global Fundraising Chairman Milutin Gatsby, among others.
Kevin Robert Frost opened the evening by welcoming guests and thanking event sponsors Chopard, Perrier-Jouët, and The Peninsula Paris for making the night possible, and also gave a special thanks to amfAR Global Fundraising Chairman Milutin Gatsby and Carine Roitfeld for their continued support of amfAR.
The night featured a special musical performance by Grammy-nominated musician Aloe Blacc, who closed the evening and had guests dancing on their seats with his chart-topping hits "I Need a Dollar," "The Man," "Wake Me Up," and "Can You Do This".
Exclusive items featured in the live auction, conducted by event producer Andy Boose and Simon de Pury included:
- Love, a mixed media neon piece by Emmanuelle Rybojad.
- Ramm, an abstract oil on canvas by JonOne.
- A Chopard Happy Ocean watch, featuring an 18-carat white gold case and a navy-blue mother-of-pearl dial framed by a fixed bezel set with diamonds, sapphires, and topazes.
- Etude pour la Belle Jeanne, a pastel drawing by Martial Raysse that is part of a body of works on paper that have rarely been seen.
- An exclusive opportunity for two guests to attend the 2019 Golden Globes in Los Angeles.
Chopard was the event's Presenting Sponsor. Perrier-Jouët and The Peninsula Paris were the event's Signature Sponsors. Guests enjoyed Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque Champagne and Absolut Elyx libations. Delta Air Lines is the Official Airline of amfAR.
