Violet Eyes in the Red City: An amfAR Affair

amfAR’s annual benefit in the Bay Area was held on November 4, 2011 at Ken Fulk’s SoMa Studio, beginning with an intimate dinner for 100 guests prepared by renowned chef Gary Danko.  Andy Cohen hosted the event, which featured a live auction, a tribute to Dame Elizabeth Taylor, and a special performance by Alan Cumming. The four floors of Ken Fulk Studio were then transformed into a lavish Moroccan-outfitted party for 500 guests, featuring a high-energy performance from the legendary Chaka Khan, hors d’oeuvres and desserts prepared by Yigit Pura and Taste Catering, VIP bottle service, and a lively dance floor with music by DJ Kiss. The Wells Fargo-presented event raised nearly $450,000 for AIDS research.
