Tell us why you wanted to make a difference for amfAR?

As a proud LGBTQIA+ content creator, the mission and purpose of amfAR is an incredible one that I want more people to be aware of and contribute to. HIV/AIDS awareness and understanding is in an abysmal place in the US and across the world— but the goals that have already been reached by amfAR over its lifetime, as well as the work amfAR is currently doing, is making the difference the world needs!

What inspired you to make a difference through fundraising?

Personally, I want my content creation journey to be full of charitable events and fundraising that makes a difference in the world. When this event presented itself, it was at a perfect time for me! I’m hopeful that my contribution will bear fruit toward the goals of amfAR!

What motivated you to become a content creator?

I had been considering trying content creation for a few years before hitting the “go live” button for the first time, but when the pandemic hit— I lost a job I didn’t love and decided on that day I would never work for a company that made me feel so bad about myself and my contributions again. I wasn’t sure what my next step would be— and then content creation came into full focus. I’ve now been a full-time Pokémon content creator for about a year and a half and couldn’t be happier that I’ve never looked back!

What are some of your favorite rewards or incentives you used while fundraising?

I love rewarding the community with things they truly desire to see for fundraising! My content is centered around activities and events that will breed excitement— so things from giveaways of desirable Pokémon cards to me playing a game the community wants to see me react to! Or maybe smashing a pie in my face. There’s always that.

What are your philanthropic goals for 2021?

There truly isn’t much time left in 2021, but with the time left I hope to make a contribution to amfAR through my work that can help make differences in those who struggle with their own status every single day.

What sort of games do you prefer to stream and which ones are you most excited about this year?

I’m a Pokémon content creator, so all my streams and videos center around that universe— and I’m very excited for Pokémon Legends: Arceus (coming early 2022) and what changes and evolutions to the Pokémon gameplay we will see come from that! New Pokémon varieties— alternate forms— NEW evolutions— HISUIAN GROWLITHE LOOKS SO CUTE— oh I’m excited!

What makes a game great for streaming?

In my opinion, it’s less about the game and more about how the streamer feels about the game. If the content creator loves the product, it’ll show— likewise, if they don’t, that’ll be painfully obvious. Remember the Chess boom that happened fairly recently on Twitch? If someone were to be wholly passionate about PONG, another revolution could be on the way soley due to passion!

Which game franchises define your taste?

Pokémon (obviously), Digimon, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Mario (and did you hear that Monster Rancher is coming back?! CUZ I’M A HUGE FAN AND AM VERY EXCITED FOR THAT!!!)
