Jeremy Scott

Jeremy Scott has never been one to go along with conventional wisdom. The Kansas City-born designer—who is currently the Creative Director of both his namesake label and the Italian fashion house Moschino—has long disrupted the fashion world, creating signature pieces out of kitsch, pop, camp, neon, sparkle, fearlessness, and incisive humor.

Soon after graduating from Pratt Institute in New York, Scott relocated to Paris where he debuted his eponymous line in 1997. The Jeremy Scott label quickly gained acclaim and notoriety—and a devout, diverse fan base. In those early days, Scott helped launch the modeling career of Devon Aoki, and collaborated with other fashion-world forces including Christian Louboutin and Stephen Jones. Scott won the Venus de la Mode Award for Best New Designer in 1996 and 1997, and in 1999 he was nominated for a Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Award.

Los Angeles has been Scott’s primary home for nearly 20 years, and serves as an endless source of inspiration. The City of Angels hosts the world’s foremost intersection of film, fashion, design, fame, old school glamour, and innovation—all of which can be seen in the designer’s singular aesthetic.

Creative Director of Moschino since 2013, Scott’s accolades at the iconic fashion house are impressive. Scott was ahead of the curve developing high-profile “collaborations,” including Moschino and H&M in 2018, which premiered with Gigi Hadid at Coachella. While at the label, he has executed partnerships on everything from Mattel’s Barbie to electronic games, The Sims and Candy Crush. He has devised instant classic Moschino pieces, which continue to be hits season after season, such as the “Biker” handbag and a Windex bottle-encased fragrance. At his own brand, Scott has retained longstanding partnerships with Adidas and Longchamp.

Jeremy Scott is a celebrity favorite and has dressed an extensive list of A-listers including the likes of Cardi B, A$AP Rocky, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Madonna, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Zendaya and many more. He has also been recognized in a number of multimedia projects and publications, including a 2014 Rizzoli monograph and a documentary titled The People’s Designer, which was released in theaters and on Netflix.
