FY2015 U.S. Global AIDS Budget Plan: The Human Impact

The U.S. government’s efforts to fight the global AIDS pandemic through both the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria have been transformative in the global AIDS response. To maintain the current total level of U.S. global HIV/AIDS funding in Fiscal Year 2015, the U.S. House of Representatives has proposed restoring $300 million in PEPFAR funding. amfAR has estimated the potential human impact of $300 million to expand lifesaving HIV prevention, treatment and care services.
