New York, NY, October 3, 2025 — The legendary Grace Jones, a longtime supporter of amfAR, will headline the inaugural amfAR London benefit gala at the newly opened Chancery Rosewood Hotel on Friday, October 17, 2025. Businesswoman and philanthropist Natasha Poonawalla will receive amfAR’s Philanthropic Leadership Award.

As previously announced, celebrated British artist Dame Tracey Emin will be honored with the amfAR Award of Inspiration. The event, which raises funds for amfAR’s lifesaving biomedical research programs, will coincide with Frieze London, one of the world’s most influential contemporary art fairs,and the prestigious BFI London Film Festival.

“We are delighted that our first-ever benefit gala in London is shaping up to be a stellar event with a very impressive lineup,” amfAR CEO Kevin Robert Frost said. “We look forward to honoring Dame Tracey Emin, showcasing our work for an important new audience, and highlighting the urgent need to support lifesaving biomedical research.”

In addition to the two special musical performances, the exclusive event will include a cocktail reception, seated dinner, and a live auction of exquisite contemporary art and luxury experiences.

This event will be supported by Cap Gin, Don Julio, RUMOR Rosé, Skywalker Vineyards, Tramp, Wheely, and You & Me.

Currently, approximately 113,000 people are living with HIV in the UK and most are receiving treatment that controls the virus. However, treatment is lifelong and often comes with side effects. The need for a safe, accessible, affordable cure remains as urgent as ever and amfAR is committed to funding research that will end AIDS once and for all.

For four decades, amfAR has supported research teams in countries such as the UK, United States, South Africa, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Australia, among others. Since 1992, amfAR has provided more than $2.5 million in funding to HIV researchers based in the UK.
