Queen Latifah to Host amfAR Gala Cannes — Halsey, Gladys Knight, Adam Lambert, Bebe Rexha to Perform

amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, will return to the Cannes International Film Festival on Thursday, May 25th, 2023, for the 29th edition of amfAR Gala Cannes. The event, which will take place at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc, will be hosted by Grammy award-winning and Academy award-nominated artist, actress, producer, label president, author, and entrepreneur Queen Latifah, and will feature live performances by Halsey, Gladys Knight, Adam Lambert, and Bebe Rexha. Long-time amfAR supporter Carine Roitfeld will, once again, curate the annual fashion show, which will include looks from the world’s top designers. Presenting sponsors include Aston Martin and The Red Sea International Film Festival. The evening’s Signature Sponsor will be Chopard. RVLV,home of next generation fashion retailers REVOLVE and FWRD, will be returning as the Presenting Sponsor for the amfAR Cannes After Party, which will be hosted once again in partnership with Los Angeles-based, hospitality and lifestyle marketing company The h.wood Group. Wine will be provided by Gerard Bertrand.
The exclusive black-tie event will include cocktails, dinner and an exciting live charity auction led by renowned auctioneer Simon de Pury. In the year that the iconic British ultra-luxury brand Aston Martin celebrates its 110th anniversary, the auction will see the sale of the first example of a unique Aston Martin model, all of the fashion show looks, and a collection of contemporary artworks and one-of-a-kind luxury items and experiences. The theme of this year’s fashion show will be “Icons” and will include looks by iconic designers and worn by iconic top models.
Chairs of this 29th edition of amfAR Gala Cannes will include Alexander Skarsgård, Angela Bassett, Carine Roitfeld, Coco Rocha, Don Cheadle, Ed Harris, Ethan Hawke, Eva Longoria, Heidi Klum, Jeffrey Wright, Milla Jovovich, Robert De Niro, Scarlett Johansson, Troye Sivan, amfAR Board Co-Chairs T. Ryan Greenawalt and Kevin McClatchy, amfAR’s Global Fundraising Chairman Milutin Gatsby, and amfAR Trustee Vin Roberti.
