Dallas, Texas, August 15, 2025 — Celebrated actor, writer, producer, and director Taylor Sheridan will receive amfAR’s Award of Inspiration at the amfAR Dallas benefit gala on October 4. Award-winning actress Nicole Kidman is confirmed to present the award in recognition of Sheridan’s artistic and humanitarian achievements and profound impact on contemporary culture. Previous Inspiration Award honorees include Richard Gere, Ava DuVernay, Dionne Warwick, Martha Stewart, Glenn Close, Katy Perry, Lee Daniels, and Julia Roberts.
As previously announced, Diana Ross will headline amfAR Dallas at the home of Kathleen and Scott Kirby. The Gene and Jerry Jones Family will receive amfAR’s Philanthropic Leadership Award for their inspiring commitment to amfAR’s mission. The event features cocktails, a seated dinner and live auction of luxury goods, one-of-a-kind experiences, and contemporary art. Proceeds benefit amfAR’s mission to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
“We are deeply grateful to Kathleen and Scott Kirby for graciously offering to host amfAR Dallas, and we applaud the Dallas community for its unwavering support of amfAR’s work and for recognizing that our efforts to find a cure for HIV remain as critically important as ever,” said amfAR CEO Kevin Robert Frost.
Effective treatments, many of them developed with the help of amfAR’s groundbreaking research, have rendered HIV a manageable condition, but nearly 10 million people living with HIV currently do not have access to lifesaving medication, including more than 600,000 children. In the U.S., Southern states are disproportionately impacted by HIV, accounting for nearly half of all new diagnoses each year.
“We are honored to be hosting amfAR for this exciting new event and pleased to do what we can to support the organization’s critical work,” Kathleen and Scott Kirby said. “We look forward to helping amfAR raise as much money as possible to fuel the innovative research that we hope will deliver a cure for HIV.”
Under the leadership of Cindy and Howard Rachofsky and with the support of the Dallas community, TWO x TWO for AIDS and Art previously raised more than $65 million in support of amfAR’s work.
