Shawn Davidson joined amfAR as Chief Financial and Operating Officer in April 2025. He oversees financial strategy, risk management, and the Foundation’s operating budget, as well as amfAR’s accounting and financial, IT, and facilities departments.

Mr. Davidson has 25 years of experience in finance and technology and has spent more than 16 years in nonprofit leadership. Prior to joining amfAR, he served as Chief Financial Officer at the American Ballet Theatre and held various leadership roles at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.

Mr. Davidson holds a degree in accounting from St. John’s University and earned his Master of Business Administration in Finance from Boston University.
