A Simple Thank You

It goes without saying that amfAR can never thank its supporters enough. Our gratitude runs deep.

And we’re especially grateful for the dollars pledged through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), a donation platform for federal employees and members of the U.S. military, and other workplace giving platforms. We know that in these belt-tightening times choices about where to donate are considered with extreme care. So, we find it heartening that supporters choose us, time and again.

“I chose to contribute to amfAR through the CFC because I support the research that amfAR continuously funds, the community that amfAR assists, and the hope that amfAR provides. HIV/AIDS cannot be overlooked—ever—and amfAR ensures that,” shares Dean Rhodes, who supported amfAR in the most recent pledge season.

“We sincerely thank every contributor because each dollar donated moves us one step closer to finding a cure for HIV,” says Kyle Clifford, chief development officer at amfAR. “We will not let up until we’ve fulfilled our mission, and AIDS is over.”

Options to support amfAR via workplace giving include:

Federal employees and members of the U.S. military can direct donations to amfAR through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), which amfAR participates in through a federation called CHC: Creating Healthier Communities. Our CFC number is 11996.

In addition to representing amfAR in the Combined Federal Campaign, CHC also represents amfAR and its other member charities in state and municipal employee giving campaigns, as well as a growing number of corporate campaigns, working with companies and institutions such as Aetna, American Express, Anthem, Cartus, Chevron, Cleveland Cavaliers, Coca-Cola, Comcast/NBC Universal, Continental Resources, Fred Meyer, Liberty Diversified International, and United Health Group.

Employees at companies and other organizations that participate in United Way workplace campaigns can also support amfAR with a “write-in” designation. And many organizations also operate their own workplace giving programs, including the American Bar Association, IBM, and Novell.
